Winter in Tuscany is usually mild, with cool days, quiet landscapes and only the occasional touch of frost on the hills. Snow is rare in this part of Chianti, which makes it all the more special when it does appear. This year brought an unusually beautiful snowfall, covering the vineyards and forests in a soft white layer and giving the countryside a completely different, almost magical atmosphere. It was a short‑lived moment, but one that showed a quieter, unexpected side of Tuscany.
